Great way to see read through of publications. Very interesting aspect to luck. Still not sure luck is what brought me here, it’s success, failures, setbacks and rebuilds.
Maybe we've overused the word "lucky." We use it to describe chance, survival, opportunity, preparation, timing, and hard work—even though those are completely different things. When we replace them all with one simple word, we lose the real story..
Basically, Luck is just consistency, doing the boring work, learning the skill, being obsessed with what you do, and building in public for a reliable reputation that attracts opportunities.
So many people dismiss others' success by calling them lucky. It's just that they worked hard, and now it's paying off. It's not luck; it's compounding and a trustworthy reputation.
Yeah, most of the time we have no idea what's actually going on behind the scenes. We only see the final outcome and interpret it through our own mindset! And when we don't have enough data to make logical sense of that success, we just call it luck!
Absolutely! That's just how the online world is. People can't see the BTS, so they assume it's always been easy. But it actually takes a lot of effort and consistency behind the scenes to run this machine smoothly

However… I’m not sure I would call 2-4 luck! They are opportunities. Completely different. When people say “you make your own luck” what I think they mean is “what looks like luck to you is me chasing opportunities”. Different.

Totally. I’m really learning about the power of mindset, the absolute truth in manifestation in what ever form you accept it in. Whatever sits well with you based on how logical, or spiritual you are. That’s definitely a form of creating your own luck!

Early 2024, I was reading a 3-2-1 email, which mentioned at the end how he had become involved with a new publishing house and I clicked the link to take a look… it was whilst I was on the website of the new publishing house that I somehow clicked on a link to Substack 🧡 I’ve been addicted to this space and the people who write here ever since 😊

It's very similar. Apparently the Chinese have three types of luck. Heaven luck, Earth luck and human luck. Really interesting. You mentioned maybe writing about Mark Manson. That would be cool!
Didn't know there were three separate types like that, heaven, earth, and human luck sounds like a much more complete map than the version I laid out. Would love to dig into that comparison properly, might actually be worth writing up.
